Where have all the leathers gone?

Dropped in on my local clothing & accessories shop over the weekend (nb Shuggie). In the course of general conversation, the owner said that his sales of leathers had been dropping off rapidly as textile suits become more versatile with better body armour, lining materials, etc.

I switched to textile for touring a few years back and am fairly convinced by the benefits, not least breathability in hot conditions and waterproofing during the inevitable downpour.

I've just 'won' an Alpinestars leather jacket on ebay (sorry Shuggie) and am wondering what to pair with it. I don't like the fit of the Alpinestars leather trews and am looking for a more relaxed style for shorter, posier trips on the Hyper.

Any thoughts, comments, observations on the above?

Shuggie does a nice line in kilts . . .

Especially for ebay buyers

Beats me 'cub. I was being tongue-in-cheek, if you'll pardon the expression ;)
