Quite possibly one of the most underrated bikes EVER.If you need a do it all bike then look no further. Super value but with weak residuals for anyone to grab a bargain!

The GSX1250 does give a little away to more expensive rivals, but it’s stupendously cheap as bike prices rise across the board.

I do have a review of the Suzuki GSX1250FA here, it's from March 2010 and the price is up to £7,865 now but the sentiments are unchanged, best value big bike you can buy still.

Re: Suzuki GSX 1250(Bandit)

As I mentioned in another thread, I bought a GSX1250FA showroom demo (150 miles) for £5,800 and after 13 months of ownership I am still delighted. It has given me no trouble at all. The service interval, at 3500 miles, is somewhat brief, but I can live with it.

Fuel economy is good - last summer I got all the way from the Brecon Beacons back home near Reading, and still had two segments showing on the fuel gauge.

I have made two small mods to mine in addition to the 46l topbox and Oxford heated grips which were put on prior to purchase:

* Beowulf radiator guard.
* Optimate 4 battery port for quick/easy external charging.

I still have the original HUGE exhaust system. I wouldn't mind replacing that with an after market system - I'm open to suggestions!

Wait for me

Re: Suzuki GSX 1250(Bandit)

I have fitted an Okami hexagon exhaust to mine - much, much better looking.
I also have the MRA touring screen - which seems to make little difference (I'm 6' 1" ?)

In all the bikes I have owned, this has been by far the biggest bargain of my motorcycle buys ever.
I only paid £6300 back in April 2010
It does everything very well and nothing badly - yes, I lust after other more 'interesting' bikes and yes I find 2 or 3 cylinder bikes far more characterful but this bike is just brilliant to actually live with and run.
It's a keeper for me for quite a while
