RT1200 with ASC
I'm looking at buying a BMW RT1200, has anyone got experience of ASC (Automatic Stability control), is it worth adding as an option.
Thanks for any input.

I owned my 1200RT for 3 years, doing some 17000 miles during that time.
Mine was an SE model without ASC and I can honestly say that I never missed it at all. The boxer has quite a placid power delivery anyway and to my mind it's simply added complication with very little benefit in way of mitigation.
Just my 2p's worth.

I've tried ASC and not found it especially useful. It's not the sort of sports bike traction control that let's you drive out of a corner really hard, it's simply there to stop a sudden spin-up of the wheel if you hit something slippery, and usually if that happens your instant reaction is to shut the throttle anyway, and that's usually sufficient. ABS I' always recommend, ASC most people could manage without - chances are if you opted for it, it would never be needed anyway.
