MV Agusta F3 and B3 Brutale

Hi Kev,
So far I haven't seen any info on your site about the new 675cc MV AGusta F3 and B3 Brutale which are coming out over the next few months.
From the specs, it looks like they should be a good challenge to Triumph's Daytona and Street Triple, and given those are both class leaders it would be very interesting to get your take on the MV's.
Are you likely to be getting a test ride?
Cheers,
Sculler

Sculler,
I think that I, like many, are awaiting the chance to see and try the bikes ourselves with some great anticipation.
The badge that they carry will always put them into a niche market, even if that really need not actually be the case any more as they are priced competitively. It can be a doubled edged sword for the manufacturer but in general I feel it is a positive thing to have that kind of marque prestige.
I am sure there will be loads of feedback here once we get our mitts on the blighters.

roger that pittsy old chap, chocks away.

My local dealer (in Geneva) has updated his website saying the F3 will be available for deliveries at the end of February and the Brutale B3 in late April. Kev, just wondered if you were likely to be testing one or both?

Looks like Kev has ridden the F3 and his given it a pretty damning review for the moment due to poor low-speed fuelling issues. Full article is here:

Seems a real shame to push something out which is clearly not ready, although I guess that MV were under a lot of pressure as the bike was already quite delayed. Is there any insight into the B3 and if the issues will be sorted by the time that is launched, as I can see that launch being even more important for MV's future than the F3's.

Yes I too had a read of Kev's review yesterday and I have to say Kev's words are somewhat different from the other reports I've read.
Let me say right away that I applaud Kev's honesty and the tone of his article isn't all negative. In fact it looks as though the failings that Kev has pointed out should be a reasonably quick fix for MV.
It's a real shame that the MV appears to be an 'Almost there but not quite' bike as has often happened with Italian machines in the past. I for one would love to see them really making inroads into this still fairly lucrative area of the market.

I'll be posting a review on here later this week, but you've pretty much summed it up, a great bike in many respects but they simply haven't finished it. If you're fancying one, wait until next year when the fuelling's sorted, it's wholly unacceptable as it is right now, the bike's near unrideable around town.

I have a Street Triple, and am looking forward to testing the B3...
