ENDURO-STYLE HELMETS

I am probably going to buy a new helmet to replace an elderly Arai Rapide full face. My current bike is a BMW F650GS 800 twin, which is 'enduro-style'. I don't go off-road, but, I'm tempted to buy an enduro-style helmet, because of the peak - handy on Sunday mornings in the winter, when the sun is low. But, what are those helmets like in use, on the road? Much the same as a standard full-face helmet? Perhaps more wind noise? Can anyone advise, please?
