I've kind of set my heart on this bike now and it looks like I'll have about a year to save up for it. MCN say it will appear in Milan in November and be launched in the UK early next year with a probable price 'north of £14,000'.

Anyone else got is shortlisted?

There was a photo of the Xtourer in MCN last week and I noticed that it had two, yes 2 brake callipers on the rear. The under slung one seems to be cable operated. WTF? Anyone know what, why or if?

Also, it seems to have BMW style spoked, tubeless rims. Good choice.

As it's based on the VFR1200DCT, it probably has the same brake system. One is the foot brake and the other is a park brake. There is a handle on the left clip-on to engage it.

Damn you Silvercub - now look what you have done. I am wistfully looking at my Flymo and inflatable dinghy to see if I can't come up with a home made hovercraft. Stop messing with my head !!!!

Now then Shugs. No trick cyclist required, simply prioritise.

Is it to be the snow ski attachment for the Monkeystrada, the Monkey'van or the hover with a bit of bovva?

The Diavel is in the detail
