Angeles Crest. Who has ridden this road then?
It's in my top 3 biking roads anywhere!
Tell me about your visit to this amazing route!

When I was over in LA about two years ago my brother and his wife were hunting for somewhere to live. One of the places they looked at was a studio flat above a double garage in the Angeles National Forest.
I'm not sure if we travelled along the Angeles Crest highway, but I did get to see some of the roads round that way, and some of them were very tight, twisty and largely devoid of traffic. A few bikers were out enjoying them though.
Ninou. I lived at Meiners Oaks, Ojai for 2 months and love Route 33 too.
I go there twice a year still and have since 1981.
I must have ridden that road 500 times, from Ojai up to the junction with Route 166 and back again.
I ran out of fuel at New Cuyama once!

Well, I did ride it quite a few times but you got me beat! Most of my day rides were confined to the Malibu canyons but whenever I would go beyond I would hit the 33.
If I was in the mood and ready to deal with the boring bit through Taft I would then hit the 58 to Santa Margarita. Great road, that crosses the San Andreas fault.
When going to Laguna Seca for the races, I would then go to Morro Bay and from there I would take the 1. These were great rides.
I have found in Spain the same kind of riding except with much better asphalt!

Malibu canyons? So you know Lattigo then!
Crazy road!

Latigo, Stunt, Piuma... you name it. Latigo was one of my favorites if not my favorite. It could have used some resurfacing though, especially the few last miles down to PCH.
Ah good times...

Double post.
I have 3 weeks out there soon.
Will be borrowing a 2009 Ducati 1098 for several days!
Another glitch!

Nice! Enjoy! Beware of the cops close to the Rock Store on week-ends.
Rock Store! Being going since 1981!
Hello! I must admit that I have never ridden that road or even been to LA! My dream is to travel around the world on my bike, though I understand that a sportbike is not comfortable enough to travel for long distances. May be I will change my Suzuki to something more suitable for this purpose.

I've been to L.A. but not ridden there. I console myself by riding the Dragon a few times each year:

I lived several years in LA and never ever rode that road: way too heavily patrolled.
Highway 33, north of Ojai, on the other hand...
