The Last Buell

By Kevin Ash - 18/12/2009

On November 12, 2009, the last Buell was rolled off the East Troy production line. The XB12 SCG was the 136,923rd machine to be produced at the factory in Wisconsin over the last 26 years.

Parent company Harley-Davidson made the announcement on October 15 that MV Agusta/Cagiva would be sold and the manufacture of Buell sports bikes would cease. Work will begin on winding down and closing the factory on December 18 2009, although Buells will still be available through Harley-Davidson dealers until the remaining stocks are used up.
